SUP Overview
Offered this season in both blue and red, the 2019 Earth River SUP 10-0 V3 is a stable and easy to maneuver paddle board that can be used in small surf, whitewater, and flat water conditions. Featuring a much more aggressive shape than the inflatable SUPs we typically review, the 10-0 V3 delivers impressive speed and tracking performance for a smaller board. If you’re looking for something a bit bigger, we’d recommend checking out Earth River SUP’s 12-6 V3 touring board.
Measuring 10’ x 33” x 6” and weighing in at 25 pounds, the 10-0 V3 is slightly thicker and heavier than the company’s other all-around iSUPs. The thicker 6” profile provides additional volume, rigidity, and a higher ride when paddling which helps to keep your feet dry (great for cold weather paddling). For paddlers who prefer a 5″ board, we’d recommend checking out the 2019 Earth River SUP 11-0 V3.
This board features ERS’ V3 Core construction for increased durability and the top-shelf 1000 denier drop-stitch core is designed to hold its shape under all conditions. The company also added their Enhanced Dynamic Rail reinforcements to further boost the SUP’s overall rigidity.
Covering the top deck of the board is a diamond grooved traction pad for enhanced grip and comfort. There’s a carrying handle mid-board and the tail of the deck pad features a raised foot bar and kick tail for increased control when surfing and pulling off pivot turns and other advanced moves.
ERS positioned a high-quality inflation valve at the tail of the 10-0 V3 and there’s also a leash D-ring.
Located at the nose of the SUP is a 4-point bungee storage area which provides enough space to stash a dry bag, backpack, and other gear. There’s also a final D-ring for tethering the board to a boat dock or towing.
On the bottom of the ERS 10-0 V3 are three fins that are positioned for reduced drag and optimal tracking performance. Earth River SUP used a center universal US fin box and two side click fins, providing added versatility to the paddler who wants to change things up and experiment with different fin setups.
The Earth River SUP V3 boards come with the company’s LAKE RIVER COAST fin package which includes four US center fins (9”, 8”, 4.5”, and 3”) as well as two sets of side click fins (4.5” and 2”). Also included is a padded Earth River SUP fin and accessories bag to protect everything and keep things well-organized.
