SUP Overview
A board that offers touring model performance with improved maneuverability, the new Earth River SUP 11-2 SKYLAKE GT features a sleek shape that is designed to maximize speed and straight-line tracking.
Measuring 11’2” x 32” x 5” and weighing in at 22 pounds, the 11-2 SKYLAKE GT is a lightweight and stable board that offers surprising versatility. A good choice for exploring and paddling long distances, this iSUP is designed for maximum fun.
The ERS 11-2 SKYLAKE GT also features a reduced rocker which lengthens the board’s water contact and improves glide.
The top of the board is covered by Earth River SUP’s premium multi-surface deck pad which provides outstanding grip and overall comfort. The larger front section of the deck pad features a croc pattern while the smaller tail portion uses a diamond groove pattern for increased grip.
Also located at the rear of the traction pad is a foot bar and raised kick tail for added control when surfing and performing advanced maneuvers such as pivot turns. These are also helpful when it comes to foot placement as you can feel the foot bar and kick tail without having to look down at the board.
Mid-board is a neoprene covered carrying handle and there’s a 4-point bungee storage area at the nose for securing cargo while you’re paddling. This is a convenient place to stash a waterproof backpack, snorkeling gear, or your paddle during those times when you want to jump off and take a swim.
There’s also another D-ring mounted to the end of the nose which is useful for tying the board to a boat dock or towing it behind another SUP, WaveRunner, or boat.
At the tail is a sixth D-ring for securing a SUP leash and there’s also a high-quality inflation valve.
As you see on all Earth River SUP paddle boards, the company went with a tri-fin setup on the bottom of the 11-2 SKYLAKE GT for improved tracking and stability. The fin placement has been optimized for reduced drag and all three fins are removable — there’s a US fin box in the center and two side click fins.
Included with the ERS 11-2 SKYLAKE GT is an upgraded fin package which consists of three center fins (9”, 8.5”, and 4.5”) as well as a pair of 4.5” side click fins. Earth River SUP also throws in a handy padded fin bag which is useful for protecting and organizing your fins and other small accessories.
