Sea Gods Announces Sol Flyer iSUP

Vancouver-based paddle board brand Sea Gods announced a new iSUP to their lineup of ultra high quality paddle boards this week. The Sol Flyer is a “Hybrid Longboard” designed to blur the lines between all-around and surfing while still being an efficient paddler.

Sea Gods is known for their lightweight, durable, and beautiful iSUPs that feature board-covering pieces designed by real artists from around the world. The Sol Flyer is no different.

The Sol Flyer features a beautifully bright design with an exclusive print of flying fish and banana leaves by Hawaii-based surf artist Eduardo Bolioli (@eduardobolioli) called “Flyer.”

“Flyer” by Eduardo Bolioli is a painting that features banana leaves and flying fish, and will adorn the new Sol Flyer iSUP by Sea Gods.

With Sea Gods’ CX construction technology, the Sol Flyer promises to be lightweight without sacrificing rigidity or durability.

At 11’ x 33”, the Sol Flyer has a unique shape positioned between the Elemental Wave CX all-around and a dedicated surfing longboard. This is a great option for coastal area paddlers who want to be able to easily transition between flatwater and surf zone paddling.

The Sol Flyer’s shape is definitely out of the ordinary. The outline is made entirely of sweeping curves with a very forward wide point and wide nose and long taper to the tail. The curved outline and narrow tail is designed to help increase maneuverability. The 33” wide front section of the board adds stability and capacity, but the narrow tail helps release water for more efficient paddling and better surfing.

The deck pad is made of two layers of EVA foam. The bottom layer is a color gradient to match the board art, and the top layer is black with an “alligator” texture, but CNC-cut into the banana leaf pattern you see on top.

Under the board, the Sol Flyer has a single split US fin box and the Sol Flyer comes with a touring style flex fin. It also comes with an updated double-chamber/three-stage pump with faster inflation times and more user-friendly maintenance.
