Outdoor Master Orca Pro Battery Electric Pump Review – Overview
The Orca Pro is built with the “Pro” in mind. This is a large, heavy-duty electric pump designed to rapidly inflate multiple paddle boards in a row, even up to as high as 25 PSI. It’s the bigger brother of our favorite pump to date, the Outdoor Master Shark 3, but can this killer whale of a pump outcompete the Shark?

Outdoor Master Orca Pro Battery Electric Pump Review – Features, Usability, and Portability
The Outdoor Master Orca Pro is large and in charge – built strictly to inflate as many boards as possible, as fast as possible.

The Orca Pro comes with a storage case.
This pump is big. Easily the largest/heaviest electric SUP Pump I’ve used, unless you count the 30-gallon air compressor we used at my former SUP shop. It’s 14” long, 11” wide, 6” tall, and weighs 6 lbs 9 oz just for the pump. That’s huge! But funny enough, it’s only a few ounces heavier and takes up less space than the Red Paddle Co Titan II Hand pump! It does have both a nylon strap handle on the pump and comes with a zippered storage bag with mesh zippered pocket for the hose, charger, and adapters.

There inflation and deflation connectors are recessed in the front panel of the pump
The front of the pump has a flat fascia rather than letting the inflation and deflation ports stick out of the pump. At first it is just a design choice, but there is a minor drawback. While most electric SUP pumps use the same threading for their hoses, there are some hoses that have a wider connector that won’t fit in these recessed spaces. None of Outdoor Master’s hoses are shaped this way, but if you have hoses from other brands, they may not fit.

The Orca Pro only charges via the included 19W AC adapter for wall plugs (selectable for US, EU, and UK voltages/plugs).
The top of the Orca Pro has a small, round LCD screen and five dedicated buttons. The only other features on this pump are the nylon carry handle and the charging port.

The control system is very easy to use.
The screen has three key pieces of information. The battery charge indicator is at the top and uses a standard battery style icon with each block representing roughly 20% charge.
The first number from the top is the real-time pressure reading. If you connect the pump to a board that is already inflated, it will tell you the pressure. It will also display the current pressure as the board inflates.
The second number is the pressure setting. This is the target pressure for your board, and the Orca Pro will inflate anywhere from 0.5-25 PSI in 0.5 PSI increments.

You can inflate just about anything with the included valve adapters.
There is also a small fan icon that displays when the active cooling fan is operating (at start up, during inflation, and if the pump becomes too hot while on).
The screen is a little dim to read easily in bright sunlight, but simply standing over the pump to shade the screen is enough to make the LCD easily readable.
Outdoor Master includes 8 different valve adapters that simply screw into the end of the hose. You can inflate most SUPs, IK’s, rafts, pool toys, and more with these adapters
Outdoor Master Orca Pro Battery Electric Pump Review – Inflation Speed and Battery Life
The Orca Pro has an actively-cooled turbo-charged pump system to inflate your board quickly.

The Orca Pro Battery will fully inflate 4 iSUPs on a single charge.
Most iSUP pumps operate in two stages. The first is a high-flow/low-pressure stage to quickly fill the board with air before kicking over to a low-flow/high-pressure stage to pressurize the board.
The Orca Pro is all gas, no brakes. It does not use a high-flow stage to start with, rather it kicks directly into high gear with a dual-piston pump.
I’ve seen this strategy in one other pump before and was very impressed with the speed, but it has a double-sided issue. This high-gear pump requires more power to run and takes longer to get an iSUP from flat to filled with air than most other pumps.
But that doesn’t stop the Orca Pro from still being one of the fastest pumps we’ve used. Inflation times to take an 11’ x 32” x 6” iSUP from flat to 15 PSI spanned 5:00 flat to 5:23. That’s fast. Now, the Shark 3 did inflate the board faster its first time (4:44), but after that it slowed down to the same speed as the Orca Pro. Both pumps were capable of inflating our test board from flat to 15 PSI four times and nearly getting a fifth (the Orca Pro reached 12.8 PSI before stopping).
And in case you were wondering — that 30-gallon air compressor I used to use professionally took just under 5 minutes to inflate our boards to 15 PSI as well. And it would only inflate two boards before needing to turn on the compressor (incredibly, ridiculously loud).
Outdoor Master Orca Pro Battery Electric Pump Review – Warranty and Customer Support
Outdoor Master offers the longest warranty on an electric pump that we’ve found – 2 years for the pump itself when purchased from Outdoor Master. Additionally, they offer a 30-day return period, and sell replacement hoses and adapters separately if you lose or break them. If you have questions about your Orca Pro pump, you can reach Outdoor Master via email, phone, website form, or social media.
Outdoor Master Orca Pro Battery Electric Pump Review – Final Thoughts

The Orca Pro is a beast when it comes to inflating multiple iSUPs in a row.
So, which is better, the Shark 3 or the Orca Pro? In terms of speed and capacity, it’s a total tie. Both pumps average just over 5 minutes to 15 PSI, and both pumps can inflate nearly 5 iSUPs on a single charge. Ultimately I do think the Shark 3 offers more versatility with its USB ports and 12V/15V compatibility and the ability to save settings for SUPs, Kites/Wings, and mattresses. But the Orca Pro is still a phenomenal electric pump, especially if you don’t need all those other frills. The overall quality, performance, and usability are fantastic and continue to outcompete basically every other iSUP pump on the market.
