SUP Overview
The ISLE Sportsman is a rugged inflatable SUP that was designed with SUP fishing in mind. Packing a ton of great features and delivering outstanding stability, this board is one to consider for the serious angler who is comparing this season’s best fishing SUPs.
Measuring 11’6” x 36” x 6” and weighing 27 pounds, the ISLE Sportsman’s wide profile makes the board easy to balance on, even while casting or reeling in a big catch. The Sportsman also offers plenty of buoyancy which is great if you’re planning to bring along a fishing cooler, tackle box, and other gear.
Unlike ISLE Surf & SUP’s other inflatable paddle boards, the Sportsman is only offered in one color scheme this season. As the company is well-known for, the design and aesthetics of the board are top-shelf and the graphics, colors, and ISLE branding are all well done. The Sportsman definitely gives off a vibe that outdoor enthusiasts will love.
The top of the Sportsman features a brushed EVA foam traction pad for comfort and the front half of the deck pad also has a grooved pattern for some additional grip. There are three Scotty mounts for attaching fishing rod holders, fishfinders, and other paddleboarding accessories. There are also SUP cooler tie-downs and a convenient center carrying handle.
ISLE’s Sportsman gives you plenty of onboard storage capacity for bringing along gear, thanks to the dual bungee cargo areas. Located at both the nose and tail of the board, these storage areas are great for stashing your tackle box, net, rain gear, and more. Also, the D-ring attachment points can be used to secure additional gear if needed.
Also positioned at the front and rear of the board are grab handles which are helpful when handling the board in and around the water.
Located at the tail is a stainless steel D-ring for tying on the included leash and a high-quality Halkey-Roberts inflation valve. This type of inflation valve is currently the most widely used and it’s compatible with this year’s best electric paddle board pumps.
On the underside of the Sportsman are three fins. The smaller side fins are permanently fixed while the larger center fin is removable.

As far as construction is concerned, ISLE used a durable drop-stitch core and overlayed it with layers of heavy-duty PVC fabric for added toughness. This is essentially how most inflatable paddle boards are made these days so there’s nothing special about this iSUP in that regard. The Sportsman’s maximum inflation pressure is listed as 17 PSI.
ISLE includes a full bundle of SUP accessories with the Sportsman. In the box you’ll find the following:
