iRocker Lunch Box Cooler
The iRocker Lunch Box Cooler is the perfect grab-and-go cooler for shorter solo sessions.
When all you need for the day is a sandwich and a few drinks, the iRocker Lunch Box Cooler is the perfect companion. The Lunch Box cooler is slightly expandable and made with waterproof material and water-resistant zippers. While it’s not meant to be submersed, the zippers do an excellent job of keeping out water from splashing waves.
With an overall capacity of just over 4 liters, the Lunch Box Cooler has plenty of space for lunch and drinks for one or two people.
The front pocket is large enough to easily fit your phone, keys, sunscreen, and other small items, but you should always keep critical items in a full dry bag to ensure their safety.
The iRocker Lunch Box Cooler is small enough to easily fit under your paddle board’s deck rigging, but also comes with a set of clips on the bottom of the bag to fully secure it to your board.
iRocker Pop Up SUP Cooler
This pop-up cooler is incredibly easy to store, transport, and use thanks to its compressible pop-up design.
Short on storage space, but want to have a great cooler to bring along with your SUP trips? The iRocker Pop Up Cooler is the answer. This soft-sided cooler uses a spiral wire exoskeleton to let you compress the 20 quart cooler down to just 3” tall when not in use.
With 20 quarts of capacity, there is enough room for drinks and ice for the whole crew. And while you can zip off the whole top to fill the cooler (or fish around for your favorite flavor sparkly water), the lid also has a velcro mini-lid to quickly grab a drink while minimizing heat exchange.
The Pop Up Cooler is made with a heavy duty nylon outer shell and the insulated main compartment makes the majority of the cooler waterproof, but the zipper and velcro lid are only splash resistant, so make sure to keep your keys and phone in a proper dry bag.
This travel friendly cooler also has two padded hand straps and a padded shoulder strap to make carrying your refreshments easy and comfortable.
iRocker Backpack Cooler / Dry Bag
When you’re going the distance and need to make sure that your food stays safe and cold for a long period of time, the iRocker Backpack Cooler is the right option for you.
With a 32 quart (30L) capacity, the iRocker Backpack Cooler can easily fit 24 12-oz cans with ice, but it also makes a great food hauler for overnight trips.
The thick insulating layer does a great job of keeping your food and ice cold for a very long time. While testing the iRocker Backpack Cooler, the internal temperature of the bag did not even rise 1°F from its starting temperature over the course of 6 hours with just 8 ounces of ice.
In addition to keeping your food cold, the roll top closure turns the Backpack Cooler into a full-blown dry bag. No more soggy sandwiches or worrying about contamination if you run into choppy conditions or flip your board. With just 3 rolls of the top, the Backpack Cooler is sealed up tight.
To make carrying the cooler easy and comfortable, the iRocker Backpack Cooler has – you guessed it! – a padded backpack harness. The harness also has an adjustable sternum strap, waist belt, and there is a carrying handle on the top of the bag.
Instead of risking your food and drinks whenever you need a sip, the Backpack Cooler has two mesh water bottle pockets on either side for easy access while paddling or hiking. There’s also a compression strap that goes all the way around the bag that can be used to help secure the Backpack Cooler to your paddle board’s deck rigging. The Backpack cooler has a water resistant pocket for small items like sunscreen, and lastly there is a bungee cord on the Backpack Cooler to quickly store and retrieve items like rain coats or hold a map case for those off the beaten path.
iRocker Hard Coolers (25L / 45L)
In addition to the lightweight soft coolers above, iRocker also makes two rotomolded hard-sided coolers for ultimate ice retention.
If you want the frostiest beverages for the longest time, there’s nothing that can beat a roto-molded cooler without plugging in. The iRocker hard coolers use ultra-thick insulation inside a hard plastic shell for rugged durability and maximum ice retention over multiple days of use.
The large 45 quart cooler is perfect for drinks for large groups at the beach or keeping food cold for extended camping trips. However it’s large size does make it harder (but definitely not impossible) to bring on your SUP. Paddleboards like the Blackfin XL Ultra or Model X can easily accommodate this large cooler.
The 25 quart cooler is great for smaller groups and is sized specifically to be SUP-friendly whether you are on the larger Blackfin boards or even the ultralight 10’ All Around Ultra 2.0.
SUP Cooler FAQ
What size cooler should I get for stand up paddle boarding?
For one or two people on shorter trips, a small lunch-box size cooler is usually sufficient for drinks and snacks. For a full day on the water or for more people you’ll want to increase to a 20-30 quart cooler to have enough room for drinks, food, and plenty of ice. If you will be paddle boarding for multiple days you’ll want thicker insulation and a waterproof cooler like the iRocker Backpack Cooler or Hard Coolers.
Should I get a soft cooler or hard cooler for stand up paddle boarding?
Most paddlers will want a soft cooler that can easily attach to their board or board’s deck rigging. These coolers are lighter, but still keep cold through a day of paddling. Hard coolers are ideal when you need to keep food cold for multiple days at a time.
How long does ice last in the iRocker SUP coolers?
Ice retention is affected by air temperature, sun exposure, how frequently you are opening the cooler, and of course the amount of insulation present. iRocker’s Lunch Box and Pop Up coolers are meant for shorter day trips. The iRocker Backpack Cooler can keep your food cold for up to 2-3 days, and the iRocker hard coolers will keep food cold for 5-7 days in ideal conditions.
