Relax on the water with the iRocker iLand float.
iRocker iLand Float – Overview
We all love paddling, but some days call for pure relaxation. You can let your worries float away while relaxing on the iRocker iLand. iRocker’s floats are built just like their paddle boards for excellent durability, and they are designed to be used as wet hammocks, seating around the edges, and even as a floating dock for your SUPs.
The iLand comes in two different sizes. The 6’ size is great for 2 adults or up to four kids, and the 8’ size can double that capacity.

iRocker iLand Float – Construction
The iRocker iLand is made with drop-stitch PVC for the outer ring.
iRocker uses their familiar and reliable drop stitch PVC construction for the iLand floats. Both items have an outer ring made with a reinforced PVC shell and drop stitch core to create a rigid platform to sit on.
The seams are covered with multiple layers of reinforced PVC and finished with a final edge band around the entire perimeter.
The iLand does differ from iRocker’s SUPs in that it recommends just 8 PSI maximum internal pressure. These devices aren’t really meant for standing and paddling, so it’s not necessary to use any higher pressures or have a higher rating.
Even though they aren’t meant for standing, you certainly can stand on them.
The central part of the iLand is a trampoline-like mesh material that is suspended by a thick bungee cord strung between dozens of high-density fabric loops. This gives you a supportive and comfortable place to sit inside the iLand and cool down in the water.
The inner floor attaches to the underside of the board with a bungee cord, giving it a trampoline-like feel.
iRocker iLand Float – Features, Accessories and Comfort
The iRocker iLand is available in a 6’ size and 8’ size. They are both 6” thick when inflated and they have a 330 and 500 pound capacity respectively.
The iLand is meant for comfort. The wide outer platform inflates to 8 PSI to create a rigid seating platform on the 6’ version and a comfortable pool edge on the 8’ version.
There are multiple handles around the side of the iLand to carry the float and help get back on if you go for a swim.
iRocker includes multiple D-rings and threaded accessory mounting points for cameras, speakers, cupholders, and more.
The 6’ iLand has a wider outer ring and two sections of logo-embossed deck pad to sit or stand on.
Both iLand versions roll up into a small cylinder and come with a padded shoulder strap to carry.
Besides the overall size, the primary difference between the 6’ and 8’ iLand is the width of the inflatable ring and the deck pad. The 8’ version is designed more to be used with people inside the ring, while the 6’ version can support someone in the middle, but has the option to fit a second person while seated on the outer ring’s deck pad.
Along with the iLand you do get a padded shoulder strap to bind and carry the deflated float. However, pumps and other accessories are sold separately. I do recommend bringing a paddle with you on the iLand if you need to move it to a different place, and an anchor to keep it settled once you are there.
Paddling the iLand can be a little tricky, but is still much easier to do with a paddle than your hands. I recommend the sculling draw – “spread the peanut butter” in front of you to move toward your paddle.
iRocker iLand Float – Fun on the Water
The iLand is a great way to relax on the water. The 6’ version is great for one or two people, and the 8’ version can be shared with a handful of friends.
The trampoline center is very comfortable to sit on, and does have just enough support to stand on if you want to. There are small gaps between the center floor and the inflated tube, so don’t put any small items on the floor in case they fall through. However, coolers, dry bags, and larger items like hats and most water bottles will stay secure.
Sitting and relaxing on the water with a cold sparkling water in your hand is way underrated.
I was able to stand up in the middle of the 6’ iLand, but it’s not really meant for it. Sitting in the center or on the edge is stable and comfortable.
If I could do a backflip this picture would be way cooler, but the iLand does make a great base of operations for all sorts of on-water shenanigans for kids and adults alike.
iRocker iLand Float – Warranty and Customer Support
The iRocker iLand is covered by iRocker’s 1-year warranty policy for floats and accessories. iRocker also has a generous 45 day return period that they extend during the holiday season if you plan to give the iRocker iLand as a gift. If you do have any questions about the iRocker iLand, you can contact their customer support team via phone, email, and web form.
iRocker iLand Float – Final Thoughts
The iRocker iLand is a great way to relax after a day of paddling, or before a day of paddling, or even instead of a day of paddling!
I didn’t grow up with a pool, or really even going to the local lake very frequently as a kid. I learned to paddle as a youth, but really got into it as an adult, so paddle boarding has been my de facto “relaxation” on the water for many years. But I always love trying new experiences, and using the iRocker iLand as a way to unwind on the water without needing to paddle has been amazing.
Laying down and floating in the cool water with warm sun on your face is not an experience you can replicate at home. Tapping into your Blue Mind and resetting, whether it’s paddling, swimming, surfing, or lounging can make a noticeable difference in stress and anxiety and clear your mind. The iRocker iLand is going to be making many more trips to the lake with me moving forward.
