iRocker Power Pump Max Battery Electric Pump Review – Features, Usability, and Portability
The Power Pump Max is easy to use and multiple options for charging and storage/transportation

The hard-sided carrying case has neat packaging and storage for the pump and accessories.
At a quick first glance on its product page, the iRocker Power Pump Max looks like a lot of other compact, internal battery, SUP pumps. But it offers much more.
The small pump is holding a huge 44.4 Wh battery pack, a large – easily readable – LCD screen, and can be charged from either the included USB-C cable or the included 12V cable – so even if you forget to charge it the day before, you can charge the pump on your way to the beach.
It comes packaged in a high-quality rigid carrying case with foam inserts and velcro straps to secure and protect the pump itself, and a zippered top compartment to hold all of the included accessories.
The Power Pump Max comes with the hose, Halkey Roberts style valve adapter (works with almost all iSUPs), USB-C and 12V charging cables, instruction manuals, spare gaskets, and a spare fuse

There are no other valve adapters included, but you do get multiple size gaskets to pick the best fit for your iSUP.
The LCD screen and controls are located on the top of the pump. Once you’ve turned the pump on by holding the power button, you’ll see a large set of numbers and a battery charge indicator. If you attach the pump to an inflated iSUP, it will display the real time pressure when idle. Whether it is attached or not, you can adjust the pressurization level up and down using the + and — buttons. Now, this may not seem like a huge deal, but iRocker’s standard 12V electric pump only has a + button and you have to cycle through all of the options if you need to use a lower pressure!

The display is very easy to read and operation is simple.
The circular button will change the pump’s settings from displaying PSI to BAR and back. You activate the pump by single-pressing the power button, and press it again if you want to stop the pump early. The last button is the flashlight. Press this and a rather bright LED lights up on the front of the pump, and it will automatically turn itself off after about 1 minute.

The flashlight LED is located on the front of the pump between the inflation ports.
On the front of the pump you’ll find the inflation and deflation ports, flashlight LED, and a rubber cover for the charging ports. Both the USB-C and 12V ports are located here, however you cannot operate the pump while it is charging.

Open the rubber cover to reveal the 12V and USB-C charging ports.
iRocker Power Pump Max Battery Electric Pump Review – Inflation Speed and Battery Life
On paper, the Power Pump Max’s battery doesn’t seem that large compared to other electric pumps, but it is definitely efficient with enough juice to inflate four iSUPs in a row.

The iRocker Power Pump Max is able to inflate multiple iSUPs in a row at moderate speeds.
Normally, compact electric pumps like the Power Pump Max have a battery that’s just large enough to inflate 2 iSUPs at most. But the Max’s 44.4 Wh / 4800 mAh battery runs this little pump long enough to inflate our test board (11’ x 32” x 6”) to 15 PSI four times and about halfway inflate it a fifth time.
While that capacity is incredible, the inflation speeds are more average for electric pumps. The first inflation – with the battery fully charged – only took 10:40. But, as the battery voltage drops, so does the inflation speed. The average inflation time was closer to 11:30. That’s not bad by any means, but rather squarely in the middle of our test results.
Personally, I’d like to see iRocker up the operating voltage of the pump to make it a little faster, even if that means it will only inflate 2-3 boards instead of 4+.
iRocker Power Pump Max Battery Electric Pump Review – Warranty and Customer Support
The iRocker Power Pump Max is covered under a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects and a 90-day return policy. Overall this is a standard warranty and excellent return policy for paddleboard accessories. As with any electric pump, keeping the pump from overheating by using it in shaded areas and letting it cool down between uses is the best way to prolong the life of your pump.
iRocker Power Pump Max Battery Electric Pump Review – Final Thoughts

The iRocker Power Pump Max is a small, but mighty, electric SUP pump.
iRocker has been packaging the Power Pump Max with their new Ultra 3.0 iSUPs. It’s a perfect match. The small form factor easily fits in the compact iSUP bag and lets you set up without needing a car. It makes those kits an incredible value. On its own, the Max is a little pricey for its speed and not having other valve adapters included, but also gives you lots of run time on a single charge – making it great for multi-day trips. Overall, I think the new iRocker Power Pump Max is a great little pump, especially for compact iSUP users.
