SUP Overview
Hala has earned a reputation for their rock-solid inflatable SUPs and the 2019 Radito was designed to live up to this reputation. The small brother to the Hala Rado, the Radito is made for smaller paddlers who want to enjoy the better maneuverability of a shorter iSUP. This board is also equipped with all-around features that make it a satisfying ride in flat water settings. Whether you’re going on a wild river expedition or leisurely cruising a calm lake, the versatility of the Hala Radito makes it especially attractive.
The Radito measures 10’ x 34” x 6” — not a small iSUP by any means but a bit more compact when compared to many other whitewater boards. It weighs in at a hefty 31 pounds and has a total passenger capacity of 350 pounds. If you’re going on a multi-day paddling expedition, then the Radito can handle all your gear and supplies without a problem. The combination of an extra-wide profile and shape makes this inflatable SUP exceptionally stable yet maneuverable, with tracking and speed that won’t feel sluggish when used on flat water. It’s also a really good-looking board, if we say so ourselves.
Although the Hala Radito was designed with a mixture of features from Hala’s river and all-around models, it’s easy to see that this board was still built more for responsiveness and control. The full-length River Rocker lets you meet aggressive waves head-on without wiping out, and the swallowtail helps make precise turns possible even in tricky conditions. A single PVC stringer running through the center of the board increases stiffness, helping the Radito to cut through the water effortlessly.
Hala’s signature Core Construction technology is in full display with this board. The double-layer drop-stitch construction is designed to maintain its shape while resisting the cuts and scrapes that go along with river running. Thanks to the bombproof construction used on the Radito, it is capable of delivering hardboard-like performance.

The Hala Radito’s 4-millimeter deck pad is made from comfortable EVA foam and it features a diamond groove pattern to keep your feet from slipping around. At the rear of the deck is a stomp pad that lets you make turns, wide or small, with extreme precision. Should you lose your footing, the raised EVA foot index in front of the stomp pad will help you find the center of the board without having to look down at the deck.
The center of the traction pad has a cut-out section as a provision for the grab handle, allowing it to lay flat and out of the way when not in use. When it’s time to carry the iSUP around, just stick on the removable neoprene handle cover for some extra comfort.
There are also grab handles at the nose and the tail should you need to pull the board out of the water or tandem carry it. Located near the rails are two more grab handles for stabilizing yourself when things get rocky, or to help you recover should you fall into the water.
An ankle leash can be attached to the stainless-steel D-ring at the tail of the board, while another D-ring at the nose provides a tether point for towing the board or for tying it down.
Running the length of the Radito are twelve soft rigging points which allow you to carry a SUP cooler, camping gear, and other paddle board accessories in a variety of orientations. You even have the option of attaching a kayak seat to the rigging points near the middle of the board for a relaxing afternoon of seated paddling.
The Radito has a customizable three-fin system that features a 4-inch center fin and two 4.5-inch side bite click fins. The central fin is attached to the signature StompBox which allows the fin to retract into the board whenever it comes into contact with rocks, branches, and shallow river beds. Also, the side click fins are made of flexible gummy material which allows them to withstand abuse well.
