The Nautical 10’6″ paddle board is part of a brand new budget range launched in 2020 by iROCKER designed for paddlers in search of a lower-cost inflatable SUP that doesn’t skimp on features or construction quality…
Jacksonville, FL-based iROCKER SUP continues to make waves in the industry by giving the market exactly what they’re asking for — high-quality, feature-rich inflatable paddle boards at prices anyone can afford. In 2018 they launched the popular BLACKFIN SUP range aimed at the premium market and now in 2020, iROCKER has announced their new budget-priced Nautical range.
The Nautical SUP lineup is launching this season with a single 10’6″ all-around model and we fully expect the company to announce additional models in the future.
In this review of iROCKER’s new 10’6″ Nautical iSUP, we’ll check out the board’s features, build quality and construction, how it performs on the water, what we like and don’t like about it, specs, included accessories, and more. We’ll also tell you where you can buy the board and how to get an additional discount.

Nautical 10’6″ Review: SUP Overview
Measuring 10’6″ x 32″ x 6″ and weighing in at a lightweight 19.5 pounds, the Nautical 10’6″ inflatable SUP has a classic all-around shape that provides outstanding stability and versatility. The Nautical 10’6″ can be used for a wide range of paddling activities, including recreational paddling, on-the-water SUP fitness workouts, cruising with a dog or small children, and more.
We’ve been recommending iROCKER inflatable paddle boards since the brand’s launch several years ago and it’s been exciting to see their company grow during that time. Since the launch of their first two inflatable SUPs, the SPORT 10′ (now discontinued) and SPORT 11′, the company has maintained a strong focus on providing exactly what their customers are asking with affordable, consumer-direct pricing.
in 2018, a lot of people were questioning the company’s decision to launch the premium BLACKFIN SUP brand and in hindsight, it turned out to be an excellent move. We expect the same level of success with the new Nautical range as it appeals to a completely new segment of the market, allowing iROCKER to capture even more market share.
The release of the Nautical 10’6″ all-around SUP is a logical way to launch the new range and we’re looking forward to seeing this new lineup grow in the years ahead.
Unlike many other inflatable SUPs, the Nautical 10’6″ is available this season in three great color options – white, blue, and aqua. The overall design of the board is very well-done in our opinion and the Nautical 10’6″ looks far nicer than most cheap inflatable paddle boards for sale this season.

The top deck of the board is covered by a soft and extremely comfortable EVA foam traction pad. It features a brushed surface that is easy on the hands and feet, making it a great fit for SUP fitness workouts. The grip pad also has a grooved pattern for added traction and there’s a well-positioned center carrying handle which makes it easy to carry the board around.
Located along both rails of the board are high-quality stainless steel D-rings which can be used to attach iROCKER’s optional kayak seat kit. Additionally, these are handy tie-down points if you want to secure additional gear.
At the nose of the board is a large bungee storage area that provides a convenient and secure place for you to stash your backpack, dry bag, Crocs, and other paddling gear. There’s also a grab handle which is helpful for handling the board in and around the water.
Positioned at the tail of the Nautical 10’6″ is an inflation valve, leash D-ring, and a second grab handle. The rear grab handle is the one we use most often as it allows you to drag the board along the beach without causing damage to the fins.
On the underside of the SUP are three removable fins that use the same toolless flip-lock system seen on iROCKER’s regular and premium BLACKFIN SUPs.
The Nautical 10’6″ offers good rigidity and it features a durable drop-stitch core covered by two layers of military-grade PVC material. Much of the hardware that you see is used on the company’s more expensive SUP ranges and the fit and finish of our board was excellent — far better than most other inflatable paddle boards in this price range.
The Nautical 10’6″ is an all-around board that was designed for stability and general on-the-water fun. It’s an ideal board to learn on and given the affordable price point, we expect this will be one of the more popular models for SUP newcomers in 2020.
While not designed to be a record-breaker in terms of speed, this board paddles well on the water and you won’t find it to feel sluggish in any way.
If you’re looking for a board that can be used for a wide variety of conditions and activities, the Nautical 10’6″ is a really fun option.
Likes and Dislikes
We’re excited about the launch of iROCKER’s Nautical line as it gives paddlers a solid option in the budget-priced inflatable SUP bracket. iROCKER is well-known for its top-shelf customer service and having the ability now to buy an inexpensive board from one of today’s top companies is great.
We believe that the Nautical range is a complementary addition to iROCKER’s developing SUP lineup and expect that the 10’6″ will be well-received by the market this year. There’s a lot of value bundled into this package and the fact that it’s manufactured and supported by one of the best inflatable paddle board brands on the market makes it a much better choice than the myriad of no-name boards that are flooding Amazon and other websites.
One obvious question that many will be asking is whether this low-priced iSUP will cannibalize the company’s regular range of inflatables. If the BLACKFIN SUP launch is any indication, we believe the answer to that concern is no. The Nautical brand is complementary to iROCKER’s other SUP lines and at the end of the day, it simply provides paddlers with more options. Those who can afford an iROCKER or BLACKFIN paddle board will still opt for the more expensive models, while those on tighter budgets will no longer be left behind.
In terms of features, iROCKER did a great job of creating a feature-rich board without the expensive price tag. The Nautical 10’6″ doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles that company’s other models offer but it comes reasonably close for quite a bit less money. If you’d like to compare the differences between the company’s other all-around SUPs, we highly recommend checking out the following in-depth reviews…
As far as dislikes go, there’s honestly not much to complain about. The accessory bundle is excellent and includes the same items that have been packaged with iROCKER’s regular boards in the past. We would like to see a rear bungee storage area added but that’s being nitpicky — this board is just about perfect as-is.
lastly, the 1-year warranty is a step down from iROCKER’s standard 2-year warranty but it’s exactly what you see with inflatables in this price range. For those who prefer the added peace of mind that comes with a longer warranty, iROCKER is now providing you with the option of buying an extended warranty at the time of purchase.
iROCKER Nautical 10'6"
|Max Capacity||240 pounds|
Unlike many of the cheap iSUPs flooding the market these days, iROCKER includes a complete bundle of high-quality accessories with the Nautical 10’6″. Included with the board is a SUP backpack, fiberglass paddle, dual-action hand pump, leash, repair kit, user guide, and Nautical sticker pack…
The Nautical SUP backpack is far nicer than the bags that come with other entry-level paddle boards. In fact, the bag is essentially a rebranded version of last year’s iROCKER pack.
On the exterior of the bag are compression straps which help to keep things in place when everything is packed up. There is also a mesh storage pocket on one side that can be used to secure your paddle or a towel.
On top of the bag is a see-through luggage ID window which is great if you’re planning to fly with this board. By the way, the Nautical 10’6″ can simply be checked with your normal luggage and picked up whenever you reach your final destination.
On the backside of the pack are two padded shoulder straps that are fully adjustable and feature plastic D-rings for securing small items and a sternum strap for stabilization. There’s also a padded waist belt and back cushion to keep things comfortable when the bag is loaded and on your shoulders.
Lastly, on the bottom of the pack are four rubber feet and a metal washer for draining…
The included paddle is also of good quality. It’s a fiberglass version of the carbon blend paddle that comes standard with iROCKER’s regular boards this season. This lightweight paddle floats and is fully adjustable.
A change to iROCKER’s tried-and-true paddle design this season is the blade. Gone is the heavier blade with the protective rubber edge layer and replacing it is a smaller, lighter blade.
iROCKER also includes a rebranded version of their previous dual-action pump. This is a very high-quality hand pump that does a good job of inflating the board.
This pump features two inflation modes:
- Dual-action: Adds air to your board on both the up and downstrokes.
- Single-action: Only adds air to your SUP on the downstrokes, giving you the leverage needed to pump the board up to 15 PSI.
The pump also has an easy-to-read pressure gauge on top of the handle, allowing you to see exactly how much air is in your paddle board during the inflation process.
iROCKER includes a basic coiled SUP leash with the Nautical 10’6″. This leash is not color-coded to the board which we would prefer, but it gets the job done.
The ankle cuff is covered by soft neoprene material for comfort and there are dual metal swivels to prevent tangling.
If you ever need to perform a repair on your board, there’s a handy iSUP repair kit included in the box. Inside of the plastic canister is a valve wrench and a large piece of PVC material.
User Manual & Sticker Pack
Last but not least, in the box you’ll find a user guide and a large sheet of Nautical SUP stickers which is a nice bonus.
As mentioned, iROCKER’s Nautical SUPs include a 1-year warranty that covers any manufacturing defects. While it’s not as good of a warranty as the 2-year coverage included with the company’s more expensive paddle boards, it’s standard for boards in this price range. In reality, there are plenty of higher-priced boards that include a 1-year warranty, so there’s honestly nothing to complain about. If you’re the type of person who would sleep better at night with a longer warranty, we’d opt for the extended warranty when checking out.

Depending on how quickly you pump, the Nautical 10’6u0022 can be inflated in 5-10 minutes.
As the SUP industry continues to get flooded with cheap inflatable paddle boards, we’re excited that one of today’s best SUP brands has finally launched a quality iSUP at a lower price point. iROCKER SUP’s Nautical 10’6″ trims away some of the frills of higher-end boards, but still delivers great value, reliable quality, and the iROCKER DNA. It’s an ideal choice for beginners just starting out or budget-minded paddlers looking to enjoy some all-around paddling fun without breaking the bank.
Meanwhile, paddlers with a bit more budget to play with — or those who prize accessories and action mounts — may want to consider the Nautical’s “bigger” siblings including the iROCKER All-Around 10′, iROCKER All-Around 11′, iROCKER Cruiser, and iROCKER Sport 11. These feature-rich SUPs all saw significant upgrades for the 2020 season and probably represent the best overall value-for-money in the iROCKER family.
