Denver, CO-based Airhead SUP is owned by Kwik Tek, Inc. — a company that has been in business since 1991. In addition to inflatable stand up paddle boards, Airhead also has a line of wakeboards, towable inflatable tubes, snow tubes, water ski and tow ropes, accessories, and more.
In this Airhead Pace 1030 review, we’ll take a look at the top features and specs of this popular inflatable SUP. We’ll also cover what’s included in the box, the pros and cons, and who this board is right for.

Airhead Pace 1030 Review: iSUP Overview
The Pace 1030 has an eye-catching design, and the green, blue, and black color scheme stands out well.
The deck of the board is covered with a nice 4mm EVA foam traction pad that provides excellent grip. Mid-board is a convenient carry handle, and the Pace 1030 has a bungee cord storage area and high pressure air valve located at the nose. At the tail is a stainless steel D-ring for attaching a SUP leash.
On the flip side is an Air-7 fin box with a single 9″ removable skeg, as well as another stainless steel D-ring located at the board’s nose for towing.
We would love to see some additional stainless steel D-rings on the board’s deck for additional tie-down points, but these can easily be added if that’s something you really need.

Included SUP Accessories
The Airhead Pace 1030 includes a pretty solid bundle of SUP accessories. You get a quick-dry mesh backpack, a high pressure hand pump, pressure gauge, valve wrench, board strap, and inflatable SUP repair kit.
All of the Airhead inflatable SUP boards are backed by a one year warranty which covers manufacturer defects. This is minimal warranty coverage when it comes to inflatable SUPs, and we would love to see the duration of warranty coverage extended to two or even three years.
Also, we’d really like to see a paddle included in this SUP bundle — even if it’s just a very basic aluminum paddle.
FAQ
Does the Pace 1030 come with a SUP leash?
No, a leash is not included with the Pace 1030. However, Airhead does have a really nice heavy duty SUP leash that you can order.
Is the Airhead Pace 1030 iSUP tough enough to carry my dog?
Absolutely. The outer skin of the Pace 1030 is super durable and designed to withstand cuts and abrasions. If you plan to bring along your pooch for a paddle, just remember to bring along a dog life vest.

Final Thoughts
Overall, the Airhead Pace 1030 inflatable SUP is a solid choice for a more experienced paddler who is looking for a well-constructed race board of this size. The 6″ thickness and durable drop stitch construction give it great rigidity, and the streamlined design makes it a lot of fun to paddle.
Beginners will probably want to opt for a wider, more stable board such as the iROCKER ALL-AROUND 10′ or popular iROCKER CRUISER that features a more all-around design. A wider all-around SUP will make it easier to gain paddling confidence due to the added stability.
The included SUP accessories are of good quality. Really, the only things that we would like to see improved is the addition of a SUP paddle and a longer warranty duration.
All in all, this is a nice race SUP that should give you many years of paddling enjoyment.
