Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126 Review: Overview
Straight line tracking is another area where the NN126 really stands out. Other inflatable stand up paddle boards have a tendency to roam from side to side, but the NeedleNose 126 tracks straight and true.
The NN126 also features a straight-line hull design that allows you to engage different “gears” by stepping forward and backward on the board’s deck. The first position is closest to the center of the SUP, and provides the greatest stability. It’s a good place for beginners to start.
The second position is a step closer to the board’s nose. This lowers the NeedleNose 126’s nose which increases the board’s planing surface and boosts speed.
Lastly, position number three fully engages the board’s unique razor sharp nose design and maximizes speed and paddling efficiency. Hull resistance is decreased in this position, and the board tracks straight as an arrow.

Deflating the board is really quick, and when the board is rolled up it’s about the size of a sleeping bag—81cm x 41cm x 25cm. The bag fits neatly into the included Sea Eagle backpack for easy storage and transport, and the board can be checked in with luggage whenever you fly.
The board features the popular 2+1 fin configuration, with a large removable center skeg and two side skegs. There is a super convenient front grab handle for dragging the board out of the wash, and elastic bungee cords and multiple D-rings at the bow provide ample storage and attachment possibilities for your gear.
On the rear, is a large D-ring for attaching your leash or for towing the board, and there’s a center-balanced mid-carry handle for easy transport in and out of the water. This year’s variation also features a new built-in PaddlePocket to secure your paddle when needed.

Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126 iSUP FAQ
How long does it take to inflate the Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126?
The NN126 fully inflates to the recommended 12-15 PSI in only seven minutes. The included hand pump works great, but if you would rather not deal with the hassle of manually pumping up the NeedleNose 126, we recommend picking up the affordable BP12 electric pump.
Will I damage the NeedleNose 126 if I bring my dog on it?
Absolutely not! The NN126 is made of military-grade PVC material that is made to withstand a ton of abuse. While it is recommended that you keep your dog’s nails trimmed, your dog won’t damage your board in any way. Also, don’t forget the dog life vest — it’s an important SUP safety accessory!
Does the deck pad provide good traction?
Yes, the new full-length deck pad provides great traction and the custom kick tail is awesome for blind foot placement.
Is the Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126 inflatable SUP a good beginner board?
Definitely. This is a super stable SUP board that is versatile enough for both beginners and advance stand up paddle boarders. As you become more experienced, you can maximize the board’s performance by changing your position.
