The Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126 is currently the most popular board in the Sea Eagle inflatable SUP lineup, and for good reason. Featuring a patented nose design which effortlessly slices through waves and chop, the NN126 excels in a variety of conditions and is a ton of fun to paddle. This year’s model features a brand new, full-length electric pattern diamond deck pad with a custom performance kick tail—a very nice update to the previous version.
The Sea Eagle NeedleNose line consists of three models, with the NN126 being the middle of the pack as far as length goes. The other boards in the NeedleNose lineup are the smaller Sea Eagle NN116 and the larger NN14.
In this Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126 review, we’ll take a look at some of the board’s best features, the dimensions and specs, what comes with the board, the packages and optional configurations available for sale, and cover some commonly asked questions regarding this popular inflatable SUP board.

Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126 Review: Overview
The NeedleNose 126 iSUP is a board that is best suited for paddlers weighing 225 pounds or less. It’s incredibly stable and lightweight, and due to the unique nose design, the board is fast and glides well across the water.
Straight line tracking is another area where the NN126 really stands out. Other inflatable stand up paddle boards have a tendency to roam from side to side, but the NeedleNose 126 tracks straight and true.
The NN126 also features a straight-line hull design that allows you to engage different “gears” by stepping forward and backward on the board’s deck. The first position is closest to the center of the SUP, and provides the greatest stability. It’s a good place for beginners to start.
The second position is a step closer to the board’s nose. This lowers the NeedleNose 126’s nose which increases the board’s planing surface and boosts speed.
Lastly, position number three fully engages the board’s unique razor sharp nose design and maximizes speed and paddling efficiency. Hull resistance is decreased in this position, and the board tracks straight as an arrow.
Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126 Rating
The Sea Eagle NeedleNose 126 is super easy to inflate, and takes only seven minutes to pump up to the recommended 12-15 PSI with the included hand pump. When fully inflated, the board measures 381cm (length) x 76cm (width) x 15cm (thickness). The hull weight is 11.8 kg, and the board can support a total capacity of 102 kg.
Deflating the board is really quick, and when the board is rolled up it’s about the size of a sleeping bag—81cm x 41cm x 25cm. The bag fits neatly into the included Sea Eagle backpack for easy storage and transport, and the board can be checked in with luggage whenever you fly.
Sea Eagle used an extremely durable, military-grade 1100 Decitex reinforced PVC material for the NN126. Drop stitch construction means that this board is super rigid, and the quadruple overlapped seams guarantee that the board’s shape is maintained.
The board features the popular 2+1 fin configuration, with a large removable center skeg and two side skegs. There is a super convenient front grab handle for dragging the board out of the wash, and elastic bungee cords and multiple D-rings at the bow provide ample storage and attachment possibilities for your gear.
On the rear, is a large D-ring for attaching your leash or for towing the board, and there’s a center-balanced mid-carry handle for easy transport in and out of the water. This year’s variation also features a new built-in PaddlePocket to secure your paddle when needed.
